Governance for Sercxi's APEX Signal and adjacent AI tooling, aligned with the EU AI Act.

Purpose

Sercxi uses AI-assisted tooling — principally the APEX Signal capability — to enrich publicly available information about markets and candidates. This disclosure explains what those tools do and, critically, what they do not do.

What the tools do

  • Summarise publicly available written material.
  • Aggregate open-source signals into structured market maps.
  • Support DISC-style profiling from published material a candidate has authored.
  • Suggest questions for a Sercxi partner to consider.

What the tools do not do

  • No hiring, shortlisting, or scoring decision is made autonomously by a machine.
  • No inference is drawn from special-category data.
  • No candidate is contacted by an AI agent on Sercxi's behalf.
  • No training of third-party generative models on client or candidate data is performed.

EU AI Act

Where AI is used to inform recruitment decisions in respect of individuals located in the EU, Sercxi treats the activity as high-risk under Annex III of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 and applies human-in-the-loop review, logging, and candidate notice.

Right to human review

Any candidate may request that no AI-derived output be considered in their assessment. Sercxi will honour such a request at no detriment to the candidate.
