How to approach this mandate
No application form. No CV portal. Read the position brief, then speak with Harald directly, under confidence.
The client is not named here. On an engaged mandate the client's hiring intent is commercially sensitive, so the organisation is identified to you under confidence in the first partner conversation — not published to their competitors.
The remit
Why this role exists now. And what it carries.
The SAP S/4HANA migration wave is creating a structural demand for sales talent that understands the ecosystem — not just the product, but the partner-channel economics, the consumption models, and the corporate buying rhythm that surrounds it. The integrators who win this wave are the ones who can staff their account teams with people who can actually sell inside it.
This mandate is for a B2B sales operator who has built a career in complex enterprise sales and is ready to step into the SAP domain. The client — a systems integrator with a growing SAP practice — needs an account executive who can run named-account and partner-channel sales motion, learn the S/4HANA product set, and grow into a revenue-leadership role as the practice scales.
It is a career-building entry, not a lateral move. The right person has the sales discipline and enterprise instincts already; the SAP domain knowledge comes fast on the job, supported by a delivery practice that knows the migration inside out.
What the role carries
- Manage a named-account portfolio in the SAP S/4HANA and cloud-ERP space, building pipeline from both direct and partner-channel sources.
- Qualify, shape, and progress enterprise opportunities through the full cycle — from first meeting to signed engagement.
- Co-sell with the SAP partner ecosystem where the buying motion depends on it, managing the relationship alongside the deal.
- Learn the S/4HANA product set, the RISE-with-SAP consumption model, and the migration economics — fast, with support from the delivery practice.
- Maintain accurate forecast and pipeline hygiene; this is a number-carrying role from day one.
- Feed market signal back to the practice lead — competitor pricing, account movement, where demand is forming next.
The brief
The challenge, the mandate, and the impact.
The challenge
The client's SAP practice is growing faster than its account coverage. Named accounts in the Benelux are being worked reactively, partner-sourced pipeline is inconsistent, and migration demand is arriving faster than the team can qualify it. The gap is coverage discipline, not capability.
The mandate
Reports to the Head of ERP Sales. A named-account portfolio with existing pipeline, a personal number from quarter one, and direct co-sell authority with the SAP partner ecosystem. No line management at entry; the seat is designed to grow into senior account or revenue leadership as the practice scales.
The impact
- 12 months
- Number delivered on a named-account portfolio, partner-sourced pipeline running at a predictable cadence, and S/4HANA domain fluency demonstrated in live deals rather than training.
- 24 months
- Portfolio expanded into higher-value migration engagements, with the account executive established as a credible candidate for senior account or revenue leadership inside the practice.

Who closes this. And on what terms.
Critical
Five-plus years of complex B2B sales
Enterprise software, IT services or technology consulting. A number carried, and deals you can describe in detail.
Proven speed into a new domain

Partner-channel literacy
Worked alongside an implementation partner or integrator, and understands how the economics divide.
Dutch and English
A Benelux territory role. Both languages are working requirements.
Differentiators
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, RISE-with-SAP or comparable cloud-ERP consumption models.
- Experience selling delivery capability rather than software licences.
- Ambition stated explicitly toward ERP revenue leadership.
- An early network among Dutch programme directors and SAP practice leads.

- A compensation structure with meaningful variable upside and overachievement, aligned to the Dutch enterprise sales market.
- A defined progression path into senior account or revenue leadership as the SAP practice scales.
- Hybrid working from the Netherlands, with the travel rhythm of an enterprise territory role.

The approach
How this mandate runs. Partner-led, end to end.
01 · Day 0–1
Approach
You reach out — through this page, the partner's direct line, or a confidential booking. No application form, no CV upload to a portal. The first conversation is about fit, not paperwork.
02 · Days 2–7
Partner conversation
Harald Agterhuis, the partner who signed this mandate, speaks with you directly. Thirty years of cross-border technology search have taught him that most briefs are wrong until tested; the conversation establishes whether the role and your track record genuinely align.
03 · Days 8–21
Client introduction
If the fit holds, Harald introduces you to the hiring client under confidence. The client sees a short, serious shortlist — not a pile of CVs. You meet the decision-maker, see the practice, and test the role against what you need.
04 · Days 22–35
Decision
The client decides. If it's a yes, Harald works the offer with you and the client to land it — including counter-offer defence, which is where most senior hires stall. If it's a no, you get a direct debrief, not silence.
